    Breakfast Meeting

Join the Fredericksburg SHRM Chapter for their last 2018 meeting. In December we will be welcoming Randy Sparks, labor and employment law attorney with Kaufman & Canoles, as he discusses "Keeping Up With the Times: End-of-Year 2018 Labor and Employment Law Update.

The old maxim “The more things change, the more they stay the same” certainly does not apply in the HR arena, where the law seems to change every day.  To effectively do their jobs, HR professionals must keep up with new laws and regulations, new court decisions, new agency policies and agendas, and, as we continue to see, a new Presidential administration.  In this interactive session, we will look at recent legal developments occurring in the second half of 2018 that impact HR professionals, including recent decisions from the courts on employment law issues, new and pending legislation, and the enforcement priorities of various federal agencies to enable you to help your company keep up with the changing times.

Randy is a member of the Labor and Employment Law Practice Group at Kaufman & Canoles. He
concentrates his practice in employment litigation, representing employers in employment discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of employment contract, non-compete, and wage and hour claims before various state and federal courts and administrative agencies. Randy also advises and trains clients on lawful employment practices and other workplace issues.

We would like to thank Kaufman & Canoles for sponsoring this meeting!

SHRM & HRCI recertification credit will be available for this meeting.
