    Join the Fredericksburg SHRM Chapter for our April meeting as Thomas E. Stine discusses, "How to Reduce Your Fiduciary Liability." 

    Have you ever wanted to find an opportunity to reduce the fiduciary liability that you have to
    your employees? Your plan should reflect the expectations of your diverse workforce. At the
    same time, it has to take into account all of the complex rules, regulations and laws put out by
    ERISA and the DOL. All while building in the demographics, data and unique culture of your
    business. The work can be overwhelming. This presentation will provide you with information
    regarding your role as a fiduciary as well as discuss strategies to help reduce your liability.

    As the Director of Financial Planning, Mr. Stine works with Individuals and families
    on Financial Life Planning. As the Director of Retirement Plan Services, he advises plan sponsors in adhering to ERISA’s rigorous standards and to meet their objective of offering a best
    practices retirement plan for their employees. Tommy has approximately 18 years of industry
    experience. As he states, “My passion is helping people achieve their life goals and at the very
    least that should include retiring on time with a dignified quality of life.”

    Tommy completed the Certified Financial Planner Professional Education Program and obtained
    the coveted Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation. He has received formal training in
    investment fiduciary responsibility while earning the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®)
    professional designation. Tommy also holds the Professional Plan ConsultantTM (PPCTM)
    designation which signifies a commitment to education and service excellence in the qualified
    plan industry. He is a graduate of the 401(k) Service Training ProgramTM which addresses the
    service standards in the retirement plan industry and impart professionals not only with the
    knowledge, but the tools needed to meet and exceed those standards. He has achieved the
    Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) designation through the American Society of Pension
    Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and specifically through their National Association of Plan
    Advisors (NAPA) division. The credential was developed by some of the nation’s leading
    advisors and retirement plan experts. Designees must demonstrate knowledge, expertise and
    commitment to act as a plan fiduciary or help plan fiduciaries manage their roles.

    Tommy and his wife Tina are active and lifelong members of the Winchester Community. He
    volunteers his time with many worthwhile causes including as a Senior Board Member of the
    Judges Athletic Association. He is also an avid supporter of his college alma mater, James
