    Lunch Meeting

Join the Fredericksburg SHRM Chapter for our September meeting as Curtis Lawyer discusses, "Best Practices for Self-Funded Health Plans.

With the rising costs of health care, employers are looking for effective ways to manage the cost of benefit plans for their employees—searching for the balance of quality medical care and managing the costs to the company and to the individual. With a self-funded health plan, employers assume fiduciary responsibility associated with health care costs in exchange for financial benefits and more choice in what their health plan actually offers.

The insights in this presentation are intended to support employers in achieving the best possible performance from their health plan, especially when self-funding.

Curtis Lawyer is a Business Development Executive with MedCost, and has worked with employer-sponsored health plans since 1999.  He is an approved continuing education instructor for insurance agents in Virginia.  Curtis is the Professional Development Chair for the Virginia Association of Health Underwriters, as well as the Central Virginia Association of Health Underwriters.
